Membership at The City Club of Baton Rouge affords you with access to National and International private clubs
Whether you're traveling on business or for a well-earned vacation, take advantage of this network of clubs, some of which offer hotel rooms, private function rooms, dining facilities, health facilities and numerous other amenities. Reciprocal privileges are available for all members + spouse and require a letter of introduction from the City Club for each visit.
How Does Reciprocity Work?
When you are a City Club member and wish to visit a reciprocal clubs, the first step is to call the reciprocal club you wish to visit to ensure availability. Once you have made your reservations, contact the membership director at the City Club to have a Letter of Introduction sent to the club(s) you wish to visit during your travels. This letter of introduction verifies that you are a member in good standing at the City Club of Baton Rouge, and is good for 30 days. Don’t see a club that you wished would be reciprocal to the City Club? Members are welcome to recommend new reciprocal clubs to be added to our list.
There is no cost to request a letter of introduction and there is no limit to the number of letter of introductions that you can request from the City Club in a year. You can request more than one letter of introduction at any one time, which can be helpful if you are travelling to a city with several reciprocal clubs. However, each reciprocal club may have different rules and limitations regarding what our members can do at their club and the frequency of your visit. All City Club members must abide by their house rules.
Current members interested in visiting a Reciprocal Club or for questions regarding reciprocal clubs, contact Mary Milton, Membership Director, at 225-387-5767, or to request a Letter of Introduction. We ask that you submit your request at least three business days prior to your visit. In most cases, charges are approved up to $500 and are billed to your City Club account. In the event you anticipate your spending, exceeding $500, please make note in your request so that we can make special arrangements.

In June of 2016 I secured a room, parking, and dining privileges at The Union Club of Cleveland via the City Club of Baton Rouge to attend games three and four of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The City Club of Baton Rouge also helped me to obtain parking and dining privileges at The University Club of the University of Alabama when I went to see the two remaining undefeated SEC football teams battle it out against each other!”
Visiting Reciprocal Club Member(s) - For those of you who are visiting The City Club of Baton Rouge as a Reciprocal Member of another Club, we welcome you and want you to enjoy your visit.
As a visiting Reciprocal Member, we will require a Letter of Introduction from your home club which can be sent to Mary Milton, Membership & Marketing Director by email marymilton@brcityclub.com. This introduction letter is valid for one month from the arrival date. Your privileges at The City Club of Baton Rouge will be subject to all of our Policies. Please note that some exclusions to dining specials and certain club events apply.
